We offer a Amazing Afternoon Tea Experience, with delicious foods and Amazing Tea, and we also tend toward the whimsical atmosphere.

Why do our reservations book so far out?

Everything we serve is lovingly handcrafted in house, because of that, and the fact that we don’t want our customers to feel rushed and crowded, We only accept a certain amount of reservations per day, This way we can provide excellent service and wonderful food, without cutting corners just to fill seats. (we tend to allow more seating’s during Special events due to high demand)

(although we only require 48-72 hour notice, please be aware that we tend to book out weeks to months in advance)

when you make a reservation you are placing a order for a certain number of afternoon Tea's to be prepared for you and your group based on the number of seats requested.

We can only do certain dietary requests. Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten Free, and Dairy Free.

We can accommodate parties up to 10 at a time on Saturdays 8 at a time for the rest of the time.

What is Steampunk?

Steampunk is a sub genre of science fiction or science fantasy that incorporates technology and aesthetic designs inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery. Steampunk works are often set in an alternative history of the 19th century's British Victorian era or American "Wild West", in a post-apocalyptic future during which steam power has maintained mainstream usage, or in a fantasy world that similarly employs steam power. Therefore, steampunk may be described as neo-Victorian.

Steampunk perhaps most recognizably features anachronistic technologies or retro-futuristic inventions as people in the 19th century might have envisioned them, Such technology may include fictional machines like those found in the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne, Other examples of steampunk contain alternative-history-style presentations of such technology as lighter-than-air airships, analogue computers, 

Steampunk also refers to any of the artistic styles, clothing fashions, or subcultures that have developed from the aesthetics of steampunk fiction, 

So When you come into our tea room you will notice a heavy Victorian style with touches of Whimsy and steam or gear powered  devices. Like a 30 foot Dirigible Floating above the Parlor, or Clocks of every size and type, AND A NEW 2000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA THEMED BATHROOM. . and while we are a Victorian style tearoom that encourages people to dress up, Dont worry, our atmosphere is designed for everyone to feel comfortable no matter what your style. 

Fragrance Free Zone

CLOCKWORK IS NOW A FRAGRANCE FREE ZONE!

Please help us keep everyone safe and breathing. we have staff and customers with extreme allergies that are triggered  by all types of fragrances, these can be found in perfumes, fabric softeners, and lotions and skin care products. we refrain from wearing any fragranced items when visiting us. Thank you

Because people have asked, I will explain further, in the last 6 months my husband had developed a severe allergic reaction to fragrances,  this reaction now  shuts down his lungs and airways and requires a epi-pin to continue breathing once someone comes into the tearoom  wearing something he is has a reaction to, While we are not sure what those fragrances exactly are, they are usually associated with Synthetic fragrances  , Eucalyptus Essential oil and some Floral oils. So when he is present in the tearoom we do enforce the no fragrance policy by not allowing customers with fragrances to enter the dining

OUR AFTERNOON TEA MENU IS AVAILABLE ONLINE; HOWEVER, IT IS A SAMPLE MENU, AND THE MENU CHANGES DAILY DEPENDING ON THE AVAILABILITY AND SEASONS.  WE DO ACCOMMODATE OTHER DIETARY NEEDS, SUCH AS VEGAN OR GLUTEN-FREE, DAIRY FREE, 72 HOUR NOTICE IS REQUIRED FOR SPECIALTY DIET MENUS, A ADDITIONAL FEE IS REQUIRED TO COVER OUR COSTS.

AFTERNOON TEA IS DESIGNED TO BE A TWO HOUR EXPERIENCE, WE TRY TO OFFER ENOUGH TIME FOR YOU TO RELAX AND ENJOY YOUR STAY AND THE COMPANY AND OUR WONDERFUL FOOD, AND WHILE WE NEVER TRY TO RUSH ANYONE, IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO STAY LONGER JUST ASK IF THERE IS ANOTHER TABLE AFTER YOURS, IF THERE IS NOT, WE ARE HAPPY TO EXTEND YOUR TIME.

COVID HAS TAKEN ITS TOLL ON A LOT OF RESTAURANTS, AND WE ARE HAPPY TO STILL BE HERE FOR YOU, BUT BECAUSE THE MENU IS BAKED TO ORDER, AND SOME FOOD ITEMS TAKES DAYS TO COMPLETE THE RESERVATION POLICY IS STRICTLY ENFORCED.

AFTERNOON TEA IS COMPLETLY DIFFERENT THAN A REGULAR RESTAURANT WHERE YOU ORDER YOUR FOOD WHEN YOU ARRIVE.

EACH TOWER CONTAINS APPROX 20 DIFFERENT ITEMS THAT ARE HANDMADE FOR YOU BASED ON YOUR RESERVATION,

ITS SIMILAR TO ORDERING A CAKE AT A BAKERY, ITS NOT SOMETHING THAT CAN BE WHIPPED UP IN A FEW MINUTES AFTER YOU ARRIVE, AND LIKE A CAKE, THE BAKERY IS NOT RESPONSIBLE IF SOMEONE DOESNT ATTEND THE PARTY AND THERE IS LEFTOVER CAKE, THAT BAKERY HAS ALREADY PURCHASED THE INGREDIENTS AND TAKEN THE TIME TO MAKE THE CAKE YOU ORDERED.

AFTERNOON TEA TAKES WEEKS OF PLANNING AHEAD AND DAYS OF PREPPING EVERYTHING IN ADVANCE SO EVERYTHING IS READY FOR YOU WHEN YOU ARRIVE WHICH IS WHY WE DONT DO REFUNDS.

CHILDREN IN THE TEA ROOM

DUE TO RECENT EVENTS, THE TEAROOM WILL NO LONGER ACCEPT PARTIES WITH MORE THAN 6 CHILDREN AT A TIME. THERE MUST BE AT LEAST 1 ADULT FOR EVERY 2 CHILDREN. THERE HAS BEEN A LOT OF DAMAGE, AND DISRUPTION TO THE TEAROOM IN THE LAST YEAR, WHERE CHILDREN HAVE BEEN ALLOWED TO ROAM FREE, DISRUPT OTHER PARTIES, DAMAGE ANTIQUES, AND THEY HAVE EVEN TAKEN DECORATIONS FROM THE TEAROOM WITH THEM, WE HAVE WITNESSED ADULTS LETING CHILDREN ROAM FREE, CAUSE A SCENE, AND EXPECT THE STAFF TO BABYSIT FOR THEM. DUE TO THIS WE HAVE UPDATED OUR POLICIES ON CHILDREN IN THE BUiLDING. WHILE WE KNOW THIS IS NOT EVERYONE. IT HAS HAPPENED OFTEN ENOUGH THAT WE HAVE HAD TO CHANGE OUR POLICIES.

SINCE AFTERNOON TEA IS 2 HOURS, WE ENCOURAGE THE PARENTS TO DECIDE IF THEIR CHILD CAN SIT STILL FOR 2 HOURS,AND IF THEIR CHILDREN CAN BE RESPECTFUL TO THE TEA ROOM AND THOSE PEOPLE AROUND THEM.

WE DO NOT DO CHILDRENS PARTIES BUT YOUNG PEOPLE ARE WELCOME TO COME WITH ADULTS. THE RATIO IS 1 ADULT TO 2 CHILDREN. THIS APPLIES TO EVERYONE UNDER 16.

AFTERNOON TEA IS LOVELY EXPERIENCE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE TO LEARN ETIQUETTE AND COURTESY TO OTHERS, WE EXPECT ADULTS TO MONITOR THE YOUNG PEOPLE THAT ARE WITH THEM AT ALL TIMES.

WE DO NOT HAVE BOOSTER SEATS OR HIGH CHAIRS, AND PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE USE ANTIQUE FINE CHINA AT EACH PLACE SETTING, ADULTS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY BREAKAGE OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY.
